📓 Changed back to standard time today. The oven clock is right again and it’s dark by 17.

📓📷 This is the best sourdough loaf 🍞 I’ve baked so far! All this time I think I’ve been adding too much water. I’ve been underestimating the water content in my starter is my guess.

📝 Finally created some evergreen notes à la Zettelkasten. Lesson learned - I should have just started without overthinking it. Here’s something that has helped me through hectic times recently:

Scrying your TODO list

Scrying is a mechanic from Magic the Gathering tabletop card came. It allows for a player to:

• look at their stack of cards
• decide to put cards at the bottom of the stack
• decide to keep cards on the top and re-order them

Scrying your TODO list could be a useful metaphor for prioritizing tasks. The order of tasks, especially the next 2-5 tasks, is more important than completing the whole list.

A useful heuristic for scrying a TODO list is deciding which tasks need doing today and which tasks will make tomorrow easier.

📓🍿Started watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 absent-mindedly last night. Turned out to be a total blast!

📓On vacation since last Wednesday. My sense of what day of the week it is, is already completely ruined. Going well 👌

📓 Just realized that coming back to Finland 🇫🇮 during Easter means it’s also mämmi season. I think it’s a polarizing opinion at least among foreigners in Finland but I ❤️ mämmi 🤤

📓 Working on my weekly review template in Obsidian. Decided to have an optional photo from the week, I hope it becomes mandatory. Here 2023-W13’s photo - Bernie escaping a wave 🌊🐶 in Lerici 🇮🇹. Gelato🍦was also had that day.

📓📷 A love story in Florence 😋 Throwback to our visit last week. Thankfully, I’m not the main photographer on this trip.

📓📷 Spent the weekend in Naples. I think I gained a couple of kilos. It’s too hectic and loud city for my taste, but it’s quite a unique sight. The level of adoration for Napoli and Maradona is something I’ve never seen elsewhere. Napoli is on the way to winning Serie A after a 30+ break 🤞

📓📷 Visited San Gimignano today. Grey and slow Sunday. Now back at the house, headphones on 🎧 and an equally slow evening.

📓🚄 Riding on a train at 300 km/h. Paint me impressed 🏎️

📓📷 On the way to Tuscany 🇮🇹 for a month of remote working. Day 4 of our trip from Helsinki. We see the light at the end of the tunnel - Sunday breakfast in Milan. Doggos have been brilliant 🐶🙇 Just one more train leg before we get a rental car and some 10 hours from our final destination.

📓 You know the feeling when you complete something worthwhile at work and feel like you need some extra prize for basically doing your job? That prize is called salary 😂

📓 For nearly a year now I haven’t really felt the Sunday blues. I am sorry for bragging. It’s still a new thing for me to feel this way and I’m just grateful.

📓 Best dough and rise so far since I started baking! It’s rewarding to see progress week after week. 🍞 This time I had shorter autolyze and a bit more rigorous stretch-and-folding.
